Triton currently holds the concession to a 365 sq. km reservoir in French Guiana. The site is currently being developed to host a sawmill, biomass manufacturing plant and related log storage. Timber is harvested in a safe efficient and environmentally responsible manner using innovative proprietary technology.
The Timber Harvesting Operator will operate the patented SHARC machine to harvest submerged trees and meet production targets with compliance to all safety standards.
Candidates must have the following experience:
- Considerable experience operating single grip felling equipment.
- Basic working knowledge of Windows-based computer programs.
- Basic knowledge of pre-operational checks on equipment; mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair; Electrical troubleshooting and repair including ability to read electronic / hydraulic schematics.
- A level of professional English. Additional French language an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
French Guiana located on the northern tip of South America is part of France and the European Union. The country is sparsely populated (314,000), generally safe with low crime.
